Call Forwarding and SimRing
Call forwarding and SimRing are services that you can configure in the MyPhone portal. See the call forwarding user guide for step-by-step instructions.
Speed Dial
Speed dial buttons give you easy, one-touch access to important numbers. See the speed dial user guide for step-by-step instructions.
Auto-Attendant
A personal auto-attendant allows users to divert to another extension or phone number when a call reaches voicemail. See the auto-attendant user guide for step-by-step instructions for setting up an auto-attendant.
Voicemail
To check your voicemail, dial (970) 491-5500 (or 1-5500 from on-campus) or visit the MyPhone portal and log in with your NetID or 5 digit extension and NetID password.
For users accessing their standard voicemail boxes, they can log in with their NetID (or 5-digit extension) and NetID password. For users wanting to access the settings for a shared voicemail box or Voicemail-Only Mailbox (VMOMB), they will need to contact the Division of IT Help Desk at (970) 491-7276 or help@colostate.edu and request a MyPhone portal password be created for that extension.

How do I reset my voicemail PIN?
See the Reset your voicemail PIN user guide or follow the steps below.
- Navigate to the MyPhone portal
- For standard voicemail, login with your CSU NetID and password, or your extension and password. For shared mailboxes or VMOMB, contact the Division of IT Help Desk at (970) 491-7276 or help@colostate.edu to be issued a password for that extension.
- Select the “MY INFORMATION” tab.
- Select the “Unified Messaging” tab from the menu on the left.
- In the “Voice Pin” field, type in your new four-digit pin.
- In the “Confirm Voicemail Pin” field, re-type the new pin.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and select “Apply.”

How do I record a voicemail greeting?
Voicemail boxes are set up with a standard greeting. To record your own, see the Record Your Voicemail Greeting user guide or dial 1-5500 to record a new greeting.

My voicemail greeting volume is low/quiet, how do I fix that?
We recommend recording your greeting from a campus desktop phone for better quality. If you need to use a mobile phone to record your greeting, please remember to use a loud voice and speak clearly.

How long are voicemails saved in MyPhone?
Voicemail messages will be available for 30 days. If you choose to have voicemail delivered to your email address, the messages will be available indefinitely.

Is speech to text available?
Unfortunately, speech to text is a feature that is not available in MyPhone.

Will voicemail messages be delivered to my email inbox?
Yes, the default setting in MyPhone is for voicemail messages to forward to your email account. This default setting can be updated in the MyPhone portal. See the FAQ regarding “How do I stop receiving voicemail in my email?” for more information.

How do I stop receiving voicemail in my email inbox?
- Log in to the MyPhone portal with your NetID and password, or your extension and password.
- Select the “MY INFORMATION” tab.
- Select the “Unified Messaging” tab from the menu on the left.
- Change Voicemail Notification to “No notification”.

Can I change the email my MyPhone voicemails are sent to?
Yes, you can update the email account voicemails should be sent to in the MyPhone portal. You can specify a primary email account and a secondary email account.

Can I enable/disable the message-waiting indicator (flashing red light)?
- Log in to the MyPhone portal with your CSU NetID and password, or your extension and password.
- Select “MY INFORMATION” tab.
- Select the “Unified Messaging” tab from the menu on the left.
- Uncheck “Enable MWI”
- Click Apply
