An important goal for our program is to improve the culture of research here at CSU. Training is an important part of this. It was important to find a way to provide leading-edge training asynchronously to our in-person, hybrid, and remote campus partners. In response, we have created and piloted the Leading Edge Accelerated Development “LEAD” program.
Here is how it works:
We have procured seats for ‘A Cloud Guru’ training platform, this is used to on-board AWS employees and has many cloud and Linux certification tracks. Our biggest draw was a cloud sandbox feature, allowing for commitment free feature testing and learning. We will loan out sets of licenses for 3 months to a campus group as a ‘study cohort’. The cohort members independently or collaboratively complete a training path. A plan for learning path completion and supervisor approval will be required to join the cohort. This opportunity is currently available to CSU Staff, Faculty and Graduate Students.
